In the Fall at San Jose State University, guest speakers from the Interfaith Speakers Bureau provided an overview of four major world religions in Professor Linda Levine’s Leisure, Culture and Identity class. The panelists discussed aspects of their respective religions as part of the curriculum in analyzing how identities are shaped by societal influences within the contexts of equality and inequality. Santa Clara High School, Santa Clara, CA
At the beginning of the Fall semester, Santa Clara High School students were offered a unique opportunity to meet and engage in an interfaith dialogue with representatives of four major world religions. As sixty students gathered into the library, a sense of anticipation for what was to come became evident. This was the first panel of its kind and an integral part of their studies. The panelists each began by giving a brief synopsis of their faith, starting with Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Download the PDF to read the complete story.

Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy, Pleasant Hill, CA
In a quiet suburb in the San Francisco Bay Area, students and educators alike at the Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy were treated to an interfaith panel of speakers. Not only did the panelists represent the world’s five largest religions, but also a diverse array of backgrounds and achievement set against a backdrop of faith.
