As the core of ING’s educational programs, the Islamic Speakers Bureau has provided an invaluable service to educational institutions by supplementing the study of Islam and world religions in social science and history courses. In addition to presenting at schools, colleges, and universities, ING has also delivered hundreds of cultural competency workshops to healthcare providers, law enforcement agencies, and various community groups including rotary clubs, faith-based organizations, and national leadership conferences. Introduced in 2008, this program expands the educational outreach work of ING by partnering with interfaith organizations. Every panel includes a Muslim presenter with one or more speakers representing Buddhism, Christianity, Judaism, or Hinduism. The student and adult audiences enjoy the interactive dialogue and the opportunity to ask the panelists candid questions.
