Join the Interfaith Speakers Bureau (IFSB)

The Interfaith Speakers Bureau (IFSB) promotes religious literacy and mutual respect among all faiths. Modeled after the Islamic Speakers Bureau (ISB), the Interfaith Speakers Bureau (IFSB) organizes panels consisting of two or more representatives from the five major religious groups speaking on a variety of topics to schools, colleges, universities, and other venues.

The Interfaith Speakers Bureau (IFSB) currently includes representatives of the Islamic, Jewish, Christian, Buddhist, and Hindu religions. In addition to sharing a brief overview of their respective faiths, interfaith speakers are trained to speak on a variety of contemporary topics, including “Living the Faith,” “Shared Values Between Faiths,” and Contemporary Issues such as “Pluralism” and the “Separation of Church and State.” Additionally, the Jewish-Muslim panel addresses common issues related to living as religious minorities in the United States.

Speakers in the Interfaith Speakers Bureau (IFSB) program are certified after a rigorous process of professional development, testing, and observation in a live setting by veteran speakers, who collectively have more than 50 years of experience in public speaking. ING speakers adhere to the highest level of academic neutrality and objectivity when teaching about religion, as outlined in ING and the First Amendment Center.

Why should I consider joining the Interfaith Speakers Bureau (IFSB)?

If you have an interest in educating diverse audiences (from schools to colleges to interfaith groups) about your faith, ING’s Interfaith Speakers Bureau is the right vehicle for doing so. We seek to educate in a neutral manner about the five main religions for the goal of promoting mutual understanding and respect.
