ING is actively seeking interns to support its development and outreach efforts. This is an exciting opportunity for students to gain valuable skills and experience while serving the community. Interns will work at ING’s headquarters in San Jose (near Santana Row) under the direct supervision of department directors of the following areas: Fundraising, Marketing, Programs Development, and Content Development. ING is an educational outreach organization based in Silicon Valley with affiliates throughout the U.S. Founded in 1993, ING promotes interfaith dialogues and education about world religions. Its mission is to promote interreligious understanding, tolerance, and harmony through dialogue and religious literacy. ING achieves its mission by supplementing existing cultural diversity and tolerance programs in public and private institutions through panel discussions and informative presentations. ING reaches tens of thousands of individuals a year at the local, grassroots level, thereby building bridges among people of all faiths and none. Time commitment is a minimum of 8-10 hours per week.
Positions and Responsibilities:
Fundraising Intern:- Researching and writing development materials
- Developing and maintaining databases
- Assisting in campaigns and fundraising events
Marketing Intern:- Researching and analyzing market trends and data
- Attending ING presentations, interfaith panels and other key events to record through articles, photos or video
- Participating in the development of new marketing materials
Programs Development Intern:- Assisting with speaker training workshops, meetings and other events
- Conducting analysis of evaluation forms and creating reports summarizing key findings
- Helping with testing and using new technology such as webinars and webcasting
- Moderating speaker blogs, highlighting trends and issues
Content Development Intern:- Producing presentation material, training kits and tools for speakers
- Editing and proofing content materials
- Researching topics on religion and writing content
Qualifications:- A commitment to ING’s mission
- Completing coursework towards a bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university
- Excellent organizational, writing, and interpersonal communications skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet research skills

Join ING Team of Volunteers
ING is actively seeking volunteers to support its development and outreach efforts. Volunteerism is one of the primary drivers of ING's continued growth and success. Most of our volunteers are full-time professionals, students or home-makers who find the time to contribute to non-profit work. In return, they find great satisfaction and fulfillment by providing an important service to the community. Volunteers will work at the headquarters in San Jose (near Santana Row) in one of the following areas: fundraising, marketing, administrative/clerical support, event support, research, book reviews, film/media reviews, and other special projects.
Time commitment is a minimum of five hours per week.
Qualifications:- A commitment to ING’s vision and mission
- Excellent organizational, writing, and interpersonal communications skills
- Strong attention to detail
