Telling Our Story: Preventing Discrimination, Prejudice and Bullying
Since our founding in 1993, ING has held over 12,000 presentations and panels in Bay Area schools and colleges as well as hospitals, police departments and other institutions teaching about Islam and Muslims before hundreds of thousands of Americans of other faiths, which has not only improved understanding of Islam but also prevented bias and discrimination against Muslims. Our work has now expanded to 18 states where we have duplicated ING’s work in twenty-two regions.
Please mark your calendar and join us at ING’s South Bay event on Saturday, May 5th to support our efforts in countering prejudice and discrimination against American Muslims by teaching about their traditions and contributions in the context of America’s history and cultural diversity, while building relations between American Muslims and all Americans.
