Vision and Mission Statement

Our vision is a world in which people of all religious backgrounds are understood, respected, and their contributions valued. Our mission is to promote interreligious understanding, tolerance, and harmony through dialogue and religious literacy. We achieve our mission by providing informative presentations and panel discussions that supplement existing curriculum and cultural diversity programs in public institutions. These educational programs develop a greater awareness and knowledge of major world religions while simultaneously improving the quality of life for people of different religious backgrounds. We provide educational presentations and cultural competency training in schools, district offices, law enforcement agencies, corporations, social service agencies, and hospitals. ING reinforces and promotes the American ideals of tolerance and religious freedom that are enshrined in the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution by helping build more peaceful and accepting communities in which people of different backgrounds come to know and respect each other.

Affiliate Training

Goals:

Affiliate training is designed for Muslims who wish to learn how to present topics relating to American Muslims in a formal setting at schools, universities, churches, law enforcement agencies, corporations, hospitals, social service agencies, and other public institutions. Professional, articulate, American-born or raised Muslims, leaders and spokespeople from Islamic organizations, and anyone being asked to present Islam and Muslim perspectives is highly encouraged to attend this training.
