INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
The ING internship program offers a variety of positions to learn about the different functions in managing and operating a non-profit organization. Interns gain knowledge related to raising religious literacy and cultural awareness in our communities through ING's educational programs and presentations. Interns also receive practical training in project management, community outreach, research, writing, and other office assignments while working with our professional staff.
Internships Available
Summer full-time internship

This year's summer internship program begins Monday, June 7, 2010 and ends on Friday, August 27, 2010, for a period of 12 weeks.

Summer intern positions are full-time (40 hours a week).
Year-round full-time internship

High school, college and university students may apply for internships anytime of the year.

If you would like to earn course credit, ING can review and complete any necessary documentation from your academic institution for you to receive course credit, as appropriate.

Interns may work full time while they are not in class.

Applications are accepted year-round.
Year-round part-time internship

Part-time internships for high school and higher education students are also available.

Interns must work for a minimum of eight hours a week and at least two consecutive hours at a time.

Positions and Responsibilities
- Fund Development Intern:
- Research and write development materials
- Develop and maintain databases
- Assist in campaigns and fundraising events
- Programs Development Intern:
- Conduct research and analysis, by tabulating results from evaluation forms and creating reports summarizing key findings
- Help with testing and using new technology such as webinars and webcasting
- Attend presentations, interfaith panels and other key events to learn about world religions and write articles and/or take photos
- Assist with speaker training workshops, meetings and other events
- Content Development Intern:
- Produce presentation material, trainings kits, and tools for speakers
- Research topics on religion
- Edit and proof content
- Operations Intern:
- IT Management
- Video editing
- Using Social Networking Tools
Qualifications
- A commitment to ING's vision and mission
- Completing coursework towards a bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university
- Excellent organizational, writing, and interpersonal communications skills.
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet research skills

To apply for an internship, please provide the following information. First, complete and submit the online ING Internship Application Form. Then, email your resume and two recommendations to Ali Rangwala, Chief Operating Officer at ali@ing.org. We will contact you for an interview if you are selected as a candidate for an internship. Decisions are usually made within two weeks of receipt of a completed application.
