ING Presentations in Civic and Community Organizations, 1994-2008
To promote peace in our communities, ING recognizes the need for education and ongoing dialogue in today's multicultural and diverse society. To this end, ING presents to a variety of civic and community organizations to explain the basic tenets of Islam and the practices of its adherents. The presentation titled "Getting to Know Muslim Americans and Their Faith" is a 45 to 90 minute presentation that provides an overview of Islamic beliefs and practices. It also examines similarities between religions in such areas as the belief in God, prayer and charity.
