St. Luke's Palliative Care Physicians' Seminar

ING Muslim speaker and Content Director Ameena Jandali will join Jewish, Buddhist, and Christian leaders from the California Pacific Medical Center and Jewish Healing Center to offer perspectives on how they would guide and support patients and family members through the difficulties of making end-of-life choices, in particular regarding "Do Not Resuscitate" orders and withdrawal of "Non Beneficiary Care" (artificial life support) in terminal cases. Family members agonize over making these decisions, and this interfaith panel will help physicians better understand the religious and cultural perspectives so that they can navigate the emotional and spiritual issues involved and better serve families regarding end-of-life care.

ING Speaker: Ameena Jandali
Date: October 11, 2012
Time: 6:00-8:30 PM
Venue: California Pacific Medical Center--St. Luke's Campus
Address: 3555 Cesar Chavez, San Francisco, CA 94110
